The world around us is complex and out of equilibrium. Our goal is to expose and model the physical principles underlying the self-organization and collective behavior on the molecular and colloidal scale. We study mainly minimal models that capture universal aspects of the underlying physics and use a combination of numerical and analytical tools from statistical physics.
